No sewing experience required. We start at the very beginning!

Are you returning to sewing, maybe with a new machine that you are not sure of?
In this workshop we are going back to the basics, starting from scratch, and taking you step by step through all the essentials to make learning to sew fun and enjoyable.
This Beginner Sewing Workshop is perfect for complete beginners or people who have sewn in the past but need a refresher, where they will learn how to competently use a sewing machine and to complete small projects.
During this course you will learn:
- how to set up your machine, thread it and fill a bobbin
- what stitches are used for what
- what the feet and accessories supplied with your machine are for
- handouts and links to training videos suitable for your machine will be supplied
- each week you will make a different project, yours to keep.
You will make a range of projects that will serve to develop new skills such as
- sewing curves
- easing
- lining
- facings
- inserting zips
- using different feet on your machine
- using blind hemming foot
